Mark

Mark Campbell (MBA, BSc, DipAMT, PGCertAP, DipNS, PGCertT&L, MMII) is a Director of Thesis Upgrade and Upgrade Education Limited. He is an accomplished academic and an experienced supervision expert. Mark mentors people to successfully research their dissertations, enabling them to move from a muddled start to a professional finish. His specialism is preparing learners for their oral viva examinations. He especially enjoys assisting students who are defending their research by helping them practice answers to challenging questions and doing realistic dry run presentations. Mark’s own research interests include leadership and management development, and technological innovation management. He has presented his research at scholarly and practitioner conferences.

With a strong educational background, Mark holds a Master of Business Administration (Technology Management) (MBA) from the Open University and a Bachelor of Science (Management) (BSc) degree from Trinity College Dublin. He was awarded a Diploma in Advanced Marketing Techniques (Dip Adv Mkt Tech) from the Technological University Dublin and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning from the South East Technological University (SETU). Mark also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PG Cert AP) and a Diploma in Natural Sciences (Dip Nat Sci) from the Open University.

He tutors at the Open University (Science Technology Engineering and Maths Faculty, School of Engineering and Innovation) and previously taught research methods at SETU and Griffith College Dublin. Prior to entering academia, Mark worked as Head of Marketing and Communications at Deloitte and was a Director of People Matters Limited. In these roles, he acted as the media spokesperson on areas such as business development, marketing and innovation.
